Zaha Hadid Architects unveils new eco-friendly yacht

Mixing ecology and design was the challenge of the Zaha Hadid Architects studio, which has been met with flying colors. Covered with solar panels, the yacht has a navigation program managed by artificial intelligence and is designed to reduce its energy consumption.

Called Oneiric, this yacht by Zaha Hadid Architects marks a new stage in the history of maritime design. Covered in solar panels and resembling a catamaran, it is the most surprising yacht unveiled in recent years, harboring countless qualities of luxury and sustainable innovation.

This boat was in fact imagined by industry heavyweights: the architects of Zaha Hadid Architects and the Italian shipbuilding giant, Rossinavi. The result is a sophisticated and fluid design, with three expanses of solar panels nestled inside.

Thanks to its solar panels, the yacht is able to sail 24 hours in electric mode, without any emissions. If the battery runs out, the yacht can still sail, saving up to 40 tons of CO2 compared to a conventional boat. Driven by artificial intelligence, the boat monitors its own energy consumption and battery status and predicts the most energy-efficient maneuvers and routes to minimize its environmental impact.

For the shape, the team of architects from Zaha Hadid Architects were inspired by the movement of the waves to imagine the interior and exterior architecture of the boat. Inside, the main deck is composed of a lounge with curved walls that gradually opens onto the outdoor terrace. The interior spaces are connected to each other, like the master suite that leads to the lounge. It has four guest cabins and a master bedroom with 180-degree views. A highlight is the quietest navigation thanks to the Zero Noise technology, developed by Rossinavi.
