These cruises reveal the treasures of the Indian Ocean

Lavish sea, sumptuous beaches, peaceful coconut groves, mild climate… welcome to the Indian Ocean, where the breathtaking landscapes will leave their mark on your most beautiful memories.

Come aboard the Champlain, from the Ponant cruise line

Departing from Zanzibar, this archipelago, close to the Tanzanian coast, still retains an air of mystery and adventure. Nicknamed the “Spice Island”, Pemba is astonishing for the whiteness of its shores, the clarity of its turquoise waters, its tropical forest, its fertile land and its production of nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, turmeric and other peppers which have made its reputation.

You will then dock at Misali Island, a conservation area protected since 1998. Although fishing is prohibited, you can still swim and admire the infinite variety of underwater wildlife. Then, about 300 kilometres south of Dar es Salaam, the island of Kilwa Kisiwani is full of the remains of the port city that covers a large part of the island and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The expedition will continue to Aldabra Atoll, considered one of the last unspoilt areas on our planet. Its three islands are a nature reserve listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (From February 2024)

Rendezvous in the Seychelles

Voyages d’exception invites you to take part in a maritime escapade to discover one of the most famous archipelagos in the Indian Ocean: the Seychelles. To explore these islands, you will sail aboard the Pegasus, a yacht with a capacity of 46 passengers. In the kitchen, a Mauritian chef, Rufus Elisabeth, is in charge. The programme includes a visit to La Digue, the fourth largest island in the Seychelles, St Anne’s Bay and St Peter’s Island. (From Thursday 23 March to Sunday 2 April 2023)
