Yves Klein in Metz: Heaven as a workshop

The Centre Pompidou-Metz presents an exhibition devoted to Yves Klein, a major figure on the French and European art scene in the post-war years.

Le ciel comme atelier” reveals the aesthetic affinities he developed with a constellation of artists.

The sky as a studio. Yves Klein and his contemporaries, until 1 February 2021, Centre Pompidou-Metz, 1 Parvis des Droits de l’Homme, 57020 Metz.

Gustav Klimt in Bordeaux

For the inauguration of the Basins of Light, the artists Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi present their creation “Gustav Klimt, of gold and colours“.

The digital exhibition presents the works that made Klimt’s singularity and success: his golden period, his portraits and his landscapes.

The exhibition “Gustav Klimt, Gold and Colours” will show the most beautiful paintings of the Austrian artist and those of his successors.

At the same time, a short programme will be dedicated to the German artist Paul Klee and the digital work Ocean Data.

Gustav Klimt, d’or et de couleurs, open until 3 January 2021, Impasse Brown de Colstoun, 33000 Bordeaux.

Black suns at Lens

The exhibition Black Suns in Lens is described as a poetic and sensory work.

It offers a unique encounter with masterpieces from the history of art.

Through the colour black, visitors will be immersed in the observation of this tonality with plural symbolism in Western art from antiquity to the present day.

Soleils noirs, open until 25 January 2021, Louvre-Lens, 99 Rue Paul Bert, 62300 Lens.
