The most expected hotels in Europe for 2022

Luxury hotels will not be outdone in 2022. From Rome to Athens, we take a look at 6 hotels that will open their doors this year, to the delight of their visitors.

 

Rosewood Vienna

 

Scheduled to open in spring 2022, the Rosewood Vienna will be the group’s fifth property in Europe. Housed in a historic 18th century building that was the former headquarters of Erste Group Bank AG, the hotel will be ideally located on Petersplatz, one of the most famous squares in Vienna’s old town. It is within walking distance of the city’s most luxurious stores and restaurants as well as its most famous historical sites. The five-star hotel with its 99 rooms, spa, rooftop bar and garden restaurant is expected to attract both Viennese and foreign visitors.

Hôtel La Palma Capri

 

Oetker Collection, the hotel group that operates the legendary Hotel du Cap, has set its sights on Capri. Capri’s first hotel, built in 1822, is being transformed into an elegant and exclusive hotel with 50 rooms and suites. Located just steps from the famous Piazzetta, it will include a rooftop restaurant and bar, its own beach club, a newly constructed pool, spa and high-fashion boutiques. Opening in summer 2022.

Bvlgari Hotel Roma

 

Scheduled to open in the fall of 2022, the Bvlgari Hotel Roma is an exceptional tribute to the house of Bvlgari and its greatest source of inspiration. The hotel will be located in the heart of the Campo Marzio neighborhood, just a few minutes from the Spanish Steps and Via del Corso. The 1930s modernist building faces two of Rome’s most iconic monuments: the Ara Pacis and the Mausoleum of Augustus, the first Roman emperor. As with all Bvlgari hotel properties, Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel is responsible for both the restoration of the building and the interior design of the new hotel, which will feature more than 100 rooms, most of them suites, as well as the prestigious Il Ristorante by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito and the Bvlgari Bar.

The Twenty Two London

 

The highly anticipated hotel, The Twenty Two, will open its doors in spring 2022 in Grosvenor Square. Located in the heart of London’s Mayfair district, the 31-room hotel will feature a restaurant and a private club. The interiors, according to the hotel, will be done in an “opulent yet welcoming style.

Cali Mykonos

 

On its own private beach is Cali Mykonos, a new Cycladic getaway that will feature 40 luxury villas, all with private pools, patios and views of the Aegan. The hotel also features a 110-meter-long communal infinity pool, a state-of-the-art gym and spa, an on-site Mediterranean restaurant and a fleet of yachts and boats ready to take you on excursions to Paros and Tinos. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2022.

Como Le Montrachet

 

The Como Le Montrachet Hotel is the first hotel of the Como Group to open in France. Located in the heart of the Burgundy wine region, the hotel will be housed in four heritage buildings arranged around a landscaped town square. Each building has been restored by interior designer Paola Navone to blend seamlessly with the historic village that surrounds it. Offering unparalleled access to the best of the prestigious Côte d’Or wine region, the phased opening will see 31 suites and rooms offered beginning in the fall of 2022.
